Man dies in crash - Lowesdale, Albury

Investigations are underway after a man has died in a serious crash in Lowesdale this evening.

About 7.45pm (Sunday 18 June 2017), emergency services were called to the Riverina Highway, Lowesdale, following reports a 4WD and a b-double truck had collided.

The male driver, aged in his 40s, and sole occupant of the 4WD died at the scene.

The male driver, aged in his 30s, and sole occupant of the b-double truck, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for back pain before being taken to Hospital for treatment and mandatory testing.

Officers from Albury Local Area Command established a crime scene and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The Riverina Highway is closed in both directions while the scene is being examined.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
