Man charged over train graffiti at Dapto - Police Transport Command

A man has been charged after allegedly spraying graffiti on trains at Dapto today.
About 12.30am (Sunday 18 June 2017), police from Wollongong Police Transport Command, Lake Illawarra Local Area Command and the dog unit responded to reports of men inside the rail corridor north of Dapto Railway Station.
Three men were allegedly seen spray painting train carriages. One man was arrested while two men fled the scene.
A search of the man located 19 spray cans in his possession.
The 23-year-old man was taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station where he was charged with destroy / damage property (x2), enter running lines and possess implements.
He was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday 11 July 2017.
Investigations are continuing.
