Police investigate child approach - Barham

Police are investigating a child approach incident in Barham last week.

Between 4pm and 4.30pm on Thursday 15 June 2017, a 13-year-old boy was walking on Mellool Street, Barham, when he was approached by an unknown female.

The female and the boy had a conversation before the woman offered him a lift.

The child declined and walked away.

Officers attached to Deniliquin Local Area Command commenced an investigation and would like to speak to a woman who may be able to assist.

She is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in her 30’s, about 170cm tall, of medium build with shoulder length red/brown hair.

The woman was wearing a denim jacket at the time.

Deniliquin Police continue to investigate another child approach in Riverside Park on Murray Street at 5pm on Thursday 15 June 2017, where a male reportedly approached two children, aged 10 and 9.
