Man charged after alleged attempted armed robbery - Revesby

A man has been charged after an alleged attempted armed robbery outside a shopping centre in Revesby yesterday.

Police have been told a man allegedly armed with a firearm, approached a man outside a shopping centre on Selems Parade, Revesby just before 10.45am (Friday 16 June 2017).

Two men had allegedly jumped out of a car and a third person remained in the vehicle during the incident.

The three men fled empty handed in a vehicle.

No one was injured in the incident and no shots were fired.

Detectives from State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crimes Squad are investigating the incident.

Yesterday evening (Friday 16 June 2017), a 36-year-old man attended Bankstown Police Station.

The man was arrested and has been charged with attempted armed robbery with a dangerous weapon.

He has been refused bail and will appear before Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 17 June 2017).
