Drugs located during search warrant - Port Macquarie

A man has been charged following the execution of a search warrant in Port Macquarie.
About 10am yesterday (Thursday 15 June 2017), police from Mid North Coast Local Area Command executed a search warrant on a home in Port Macquarie.
Police located a sophisticated hydroponic setup, housing 15 cannabis plants, as well as dry cannabis leaf.
Police also seized an amount of methlyamphetamine, as well as a small amount of cash, mobile phones and drug paraphernalia.
A 36-year-old man, who resisted police during the warrant, was arrested and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station.
He was charged with the following offences:
- Cultivate prohibited plant,
- Possess prohibited plant,
- Supply prohibited drug,
- Possess prohibited drug x2,
- Assault police,
- Resist police,
- Dealing the proceeds of crime and
- Goods in custody.
He was bail refused and will appear before Port Macquarie Local Court today (Friday 16 June 2017).
A 22-year-old woman, who was also home at the time of the warrant, is expected to be charged with Possess prohibited drug.
