Man charged after allegedly producing child abuse material - SCC Child Abuse Squad

A man will face court today after allegedly using children known to him to produce child abuse material.
In September 2016, detectives from the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse Squad arrested and charged a 65-year-old man over alleged child sex offences involving two young girls known to him.
During a subsequent search warrant at a home at Engadine, investigators seized a computer and electronic storage devices for forensic examination.
Following the analysis and further investigation, detectives arrested the man at a home at Engadine about 1.15pm yesterday (Tuesday 13 June 2017).
He was taken to Sutherland Police Station and charged with six counts of produce child abuse material and two counts of bestiality.
The man was refused bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court today (Wednesday 14 June 2017).
The Child Abuse Squad is comprised of detectives who are specially trained to investigate crimes against children, including sexual assault, physical abuse and serious cases of neglect.
