Man charged after stabbing - Bankstown

A man has been charged after a stabbing at Bankstown.
About 10.35am today (Tuesday 13 June 2017), police were called to a cafe in Bankstown City Plaza after reports of a stabbing.
Officers located a 50-year-old man with a stab wound to the chest.
He has been taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition.
A crime scene has been established which has been examined by forensic specialists.
A 35-year-old man was arrested a short time later at an address on Stacey Street, Bankstown.
He has been taken Bankstown Police Station where he was charged with malicious wounding.
He has been refused bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court tomorrow (Wednesday 14 June 2017).
The two men are understood to be known to each other.
