Police appeal for information after man stabbed - Nowra

Police have appealed to the community for information after a man was stabbed in an altercation in Nowra yesterday morning.

Shortly after 11am on Sunday 11 June, 2017 emergency services were called to Goolagong Street at North Nowra following reports of a stabbing.

Police from Shoalhaven Local Area Command attended and located a 37-year-old man who had suffered a stab wound.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and then airlifted by helicopter to Hospital, where he underwent surgery and remains in a critical but stable condition.

Police established a crime scene at the location which was examined by forensic specialists.

Investigators from Shoalhaven LAC continue with their inquiries into the incident.

Police believe a firearm was discharged during the incident and are looking for several people who left the premises prior to the arrival of emergency services.

A reward of up to $1000 is available for information which leads to an arrest and all information provided to Crime Stoppers can be done so anonymously.
