Man suffers stab wound - Cartwright

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a stabbing at Cartwright this morning.

Shortly before 9am (Friday 9 June 2017), emergency services were called to a unit block on Lyell Place following reports of a brawl.

On arrival officers located a man suffering stab wounds to his buttock.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

A crime scene has been established at the complex and detectives from Green Valley Local Area Command will continue with their inquiries.

Police believe the stabbing occurred outside the unit block.

Investigators are calling for anyone with information surrounding this incident to come forward.
