A man will face court tomorrow after another man was shot in Sydney’s west last year.

About 9.20am (Friday 9 September 2016), emergency services were called to Pandora Street, Greenacre, following reports of shots fired.

Officers from Bankstown Local Area Command attended and located a man, aged 38, with a gunshot wound to his calf.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to hospital and has since been released.

A crime scene was established and examined by specialist officers.

Following inquiries, about 3pm today (Wednesday 7 June 2017), police arrested a 44-year-old man.

He was taken to Bankstown Police Station and charged with discharge firearm, intend to cause grievous bodily harm, possess unauthorised pistol and use unauthorised pistol.

The man was refused bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 8 June 2017).
