Police investigate after man hit by car - West Ryde

A man has been injured after being hit by a car in West Ryde yesterday.

About 9.10pm (Tuesday 6 June 2017), emergency services were called to Victoria Road, West Ryde, after a 44-year-old man was hit by a Toyota Camry.

The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical but stable condition.

The driver, a 52-year-old woman, was taken to Ryde Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing. She was later released pending further inquiries.

Officers attached to Ryde Local Area Command will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
