One dead, three injured after Parramatta fire

Inquiries are continuing after a man has died and three other people were injured, after a fire at a Parramatta unit block this morning.

About 3.55am (Monday 5 June 2017), emergency services were called to a fire in the ground floor car park of the Early Street complex.

Four people were assessed on site by NSW Ambulance paramedics. All were taken to hospital for further treatment

An 82-year-old man, who is not believed to reside at the complex, died soon after arriving at hospital.

Inquiries suggest he does not reside at the unit complex.

Specialist personnel from NSW Police Force and Fire & Rescue NSW are continuing inquiries to determine the cause.
