Two men charged following serious assault - Lethbridge Park

Two men have been charged following investigations into a serious assault at Lethbridge Park yesterday.
Just after 2am (Friday 2 June 2017), police and emergency services attended a house in Mindanao Avenue, following reports a man had been assaulted with a blunt object.
On arrival, officers located a 58-year-old man with serious head injuries after two men allegedly entered the home and attacked him. Three other men in the house at the time were not injured.
The man was assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.
Police from Mt Druitt Local Area Command established a crime scene and commenced investigations.
Following inquiries, about 9pm yesterday (Friday 2 June 2017), officers attended a home in Kingsley Street, Blackett and arrested a 21-year-old man.
He was taken Mt Druitt Police Station and charged with cause wounding / grievous bodily harm with intent to murder.
Just before 11pm yesterday (Friday 2 June 2017), a 40-year-old man attended Mt Druitt Police Station and was arrested by investigators.
He was also charged with cause wounding / grievous bodily harm with intent to murder.
Both men were refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Saturday 3 June 2017).
