Fatal crash - Yass

A woman died and three other occupants were injured in a motor vehicle crash in the states Southern Region.

Emergency services were called to the Hume Highway, about 1km south of Lachlan Valley Way, following reports of a car crash, about 2.15pm (Thursday 1 June 2017).

Police attended and found a Mitsubishi Pajero that had rolled.

One of the four occupants, an 83-year-old woman, died at the scene.

The male driver, aged 63, and his passenger, a 71-year-old man were airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a stable condition.

An 87-year-old female occupant was airlifted to Canberra Hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.

Officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit attended and established a crime scene.
