Man charged after warrant - Broken Hill

A man has been charged with drug and other offences after a search warrant in the state’s far west.
About 10.55am yesterday (Thursday 6 July 2017), police from Strike Force Bunbie, established to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs, executed a search warrant at an address on Eyre Street, Broken Hill.
During the search warrant, inside the home, police allegedly seized 72.3grams of cannabis, jewellery, a number of items suspected of being stolen, and $910 in cash.
In a caravan at the rear of the property, police located a further 471.2grams of cannabis as well as drug paraphernalia.
A 46-year-old man was arrested at the address and taken to Broken Hill Police Station.
He was charged with supply prohibited drug – commercial quantity (cannabis); knowingly deal with proceeds of crime; supply prohibited drug (cannabis); possess prohibited drug; goods suspected stolen in/on premises; and goods in personal custody suspected being stolen.
He was refused bail to appear at Broken Hill Local Court today (Friday 7 July 2017).
Inquiries are continuing and further charges are possible
