Males sought after robbery - Kiama

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a supermarket in Kiama overnight after two people forced their way into the building through the ceiling.


Shortly after 10pm on Wednesday 5 July 2017 two male offenders have entered the store on Terralong Street, through the ceiling, armed with knives.

The males demanded money from the two female employees and fled from the store.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command attended the location, established a crime scene and conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate the offenders.

Investigators believe that two males may be able to assist with their inquiries.

They have been described to police as wearing hoodies, balaclavas and dark clothing.

Inquiries into the incident continue and police have urged anyone with information about the incident or suspicious activity in the area to come forward.
