A man has been located deceased in a caravan park in State’s north-west this morning.

About 8.45am (Wednesday 5 July 2017), emergency services were called to a commercial camping area in Narrabri following reports of a concern for welfare.

Officers from Barwon Local Area Command attended and were directed to a campsite where a 54-year-old man was located deceased in a single person tent.

A crime scene was established.

Police are investigating all lines of inquiries, including the possibility the man died as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning from a small bottled gas butane heater found inside the tent.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
