Two teens seriously injured in crash - Sanctuary Point

Police are investigating after two teens were seriously injured in a single vehicle crash in Sanctuary Point last night.

Shortly before 8pm (Tuesday 4 July 2017), emergency services were called to Leumeah Street, Sanctuary Point following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

Initial investigations suggest a Honda CRV was travelling north on Leumeah Street before it lost control at a bend and crashed into a tree.

The occupants a 17-year-old boy, and an 18-year-old woman, were treated at the scene for serious injuries before being airlifted to hospital.

A crime scene was established and investigations into the crash are continuing. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
