Man charged after robbery - Port Macquarie

A man will face court today after an armed robbery in Port Macquarie at the weekend.
About 5.20pm on Sunday (2 July 2017), a 16-year-old male attended a car park at Flynns Beach when he was approached by a man, known to him.
The man allegedly threatened the teen, demanding cash before assaulting him and showing him a knife concealed in his pants.
The teen removed cash from his pocket and the man took it before fleeing.
The teen attempted to flag down a passing light blue hatchback before being picked up by relatives and driven to Port Macquarie Police Station.
Following inquiries, an 18-year-old man was arrested at Port Macquarie Police Station yesterday (Monday 3 July 2017).
He was charged with robbery and refused bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court today (Tuesday 4 July 2017).
