Police investigate supermarket robbery - Eastlakes

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an armed robbery at Eastlakes last night.

About 8.30pm (Monday 3 July 2017) two men, one armed with a crowbar, entered a supermarket at the Eastlakes Shopping Centre and approached the employees behind the cash registers.

They demanded money to be placed into a bag that one of the men was carrying.

The pair, who had their faces covered, then ran from the store with an amount of cash.

No one was hurt during the robbery and detectives from Botany Bay Local Area Command are conducting a full investigation.
