Man charged over indecent assaults - Burwood

A man has been charged over the alleged indecent assaults of two females in Burwood.

About 8.10am on Monday 19 June 2017, a 15-year-old girl was walking north on Burwood Road when she was approached by a 31-year-old man who indecently assaulting her.

The incident was reported to police from Burwood Local Area Command who commenced inquiries.

About 11.50am on Thursday 29 June 2017, a 21-year-old woman was on Burwood Road, approaching the entrance to a shopping centre, when it’s alleged she was approached by the same 31-year-old man and indecently assaulted.

This incident was also reported to police.

Following inquiries, about 10.15pm yesterday (Friday 30 June 2017), the 31-year-old man was arrested at a Strathfield address.

He was taken to Burwood Police Station and charged with indecent assault of person under 16 and indecent assault.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 1 July 2017).
