CCTV released after aged care break and enter - Hunter region

Police are appealing for information after a series of attempted break and enters at an aged care centre in the Hunter region this month.
Police are investigating a break and enter at the Lang Street facility in Kurri Kurri on Saturday 10 June 20176. Just after 11pm, a man broke into a 78-year-old woman’s room and demanded cash.
The woman was assaulted and the man stole her wallet containing cash and credit cards. The woman suffered bruising to her face.
About 11.30pm on Sunday 18 June 2017, a resident at the aged care centre reported a man attempting to break into her room.
Police were told she was woken by the sound of a chair moved towards a railing on the back veranda. The man did not gain entry and left before the resident or staff could locate him.
It’s believed the incidents are linked.
Police attached to the Central Hunter Local Area Command have released security footage of a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
The man is described as having dark hair and wearing shorts with two stripes down the sides and a jumper and has been seen with a dog.
