Man found injured at Lake Haven dies in hospital

A man who was found with significant head injuries at Lake Haven has died in hospital.
About 10.30pm on Saturday (24 June 2017), the 21-year-old injured man was located unconscious on the roadway of Lake Haven Drive near Lyle Street.
He had significant head injuries and was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics before being transported to John Hunter Hospital.
Last night (Sunday 25 June 2017) the man’s life support was switched off and he died.
Detectives from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command are being assisted by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad as they investigate the man’s death and prepare a report for the Coroner.
Police are appealing to anyone who has information about the incident to contact Tuggerah Lakes Police Station on (02) 4356 6099 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Officers would also like to speak to a woman who police believe, along with others, rendered assistance to the injured man. She is described as being in her 50s and was driving a dark blue Ford Falcon sedan towing a box trailer.
