UPDATE: Woman dies in hospital after crash - Cabramatta

A woman has died in hospital following a crash in Cabramatta yesterday.

Just before 2pm (Saturday 24 June 2017), a 59-year-old woman was walking across Railway Parade to Boundary Road when she was struck by Toyota Camry sedan turning into Boundary Lane.

The woman suffered serious head injuries and was treated at the scene before being transported to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver, a 63-year-old man, was not injured and underwent mandatory drug and urine testing.

Police have been advised the woman died in hospital overnight (Sunday 25 June 2017).

Officers attached to the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are continuing to investigate the crash and are appealing for witnesses.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
