Investigations underway into fatal shooting - Tweed Heads

Police are investigating following the death of a man at Tweed Heads yesterday.

About 4.30pm (Saturday 24 June 2017), police attended Tweed Heads District Hospital after receiving information a man suffering a gun-shot wound had presented at the hospital.

The man received treatment; however, died a short time later.

An investigation has been commenced by police attached to the Tweed Byron Local Area Command, assisted by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.

As inquiries continue, police are urging any witnesses, or anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
