Police investigate fatal crash - Yass

Police are currently at the scene of a fatal motor vehicle collision in the states Southern Region.

About 2.15pm (Thursday 1 June 2017) emergency services were called to the Hume Highway, about 1km south of Lachlan Valley Way, following reports of a car crash.

On arrival officers located a 4WD that had rolled.

One of the four occupants, a woman, died at the scene.

The male driver, and the two other passengers, a man and a woman, are being airlifted to Canberra Hospital.

Officers from the Southern Region Crash Investigation Unit will attend the scene and commence an investigation.

Motorists are advised that local traffic diversions are in place northbound between Bowning and Yass.
