Extradition of man for historical sexual assaults - Armidale.

A man has been extradited from Shepparton, Victoria in relation to historical sexual assaults which occurred in New South Wales.

Armidale Detectives have been investigating the alleged sexual assaults of two young girls that occurred in Sydney in 1996 and Armidale in 1998.

Following enquiries, a 36-year-old man from Shepparton, Victoria, was arrested and extradited to Albury, New South Wales, yesterday (Wednesday 31 May 2017)

The man was charged with three counts of sexual intercourse with a person under ten years of age.

He was refused bail to appear at Albury Local Court on Thursday 1 June 2017.
