Drugs and knives seized, man charged - Surry Hills

A man will face court today charged with drug supply following a vehicle search in Surry Hills.

About 10pm (Wednesday 31 May 2017), police attached to Surry Hills Local Area Command were patrolling High Holborn Street, when they stopped a Toyota Yaris.

After speaking with the driver, who was found to have a disqualified license in NSW, police searched the vehicle and allegedly located an amount of prohibited drugs, two knives and a credit card knife.

A 27-year-old man was arrested and taken to Surry Hills Police Station.

He was charged with drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug and custody of knife in a public place x2.

The man was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court today (Thursday 1 June 2017).
