Traffic controller struck by car - Kensington

A man is in hospital after being struck by a car in Kensington overnight.

Shortly after 10.30pm (Tuesday 30 May 2017), emergency services were called to Anzac Parade, Kensington, after reports a man had been struck by a car.

Police have been told that a 63-year-old man whilst conducting traffic control duties was struck by a Toyota Hilux.

The injured man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to St Vincent Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not considered life threatening.

The driver of a Toyota Hilux, a 43-year-old man, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command attended and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
