Girl, 15, caught driving stolen car – South Penrith
Thursday, 05 Nov 2009 05:38amPolice stopped a stolen vehicle being driven by a 15-year-old girl in Sydney’s west overnight.
About 8pm police patrolling Samuel Foster Drive, South Penrith, observed a white Holden Commodore travelling south.
The vehicle had previously been reported stolen.
The vehicle was signalled to stop, however the driver failed to obey that direction.
A pursuit was initiated and the vehicle drove through local streets in South Penrith at speeds not exceeding 70 kmph.
The vehicle was stopped on Frager Road and all six occupants, all juveniles, were detained by police.
No one was injured during the incident.
Five young persons were released pending further investigations and the 15-year-old female driver will be issued with a caution under the Young Offenders Act.
