Man arrested and charged over breach of bail following malicious damage of camera outside Sydney gaol — Strike Force Raptor

Thursday, 05 Nov 2009 05:35am

Strike Force Raptor officers have charged a man for breach of bail conditions following the alleged malicious damage of a camera outside a Sydney gaol on Tuesday.

About 4pm on Wednesday 4 November, a 43-year-old man was arrested by police at a home in Merrylands.

He was taken to Merrylands Police Station where he was later charged with malicious damage and breach of bail.

He has been refused bail and will appear at Fairfield Local Court later today.

The charges relate to the alleged malicious damage to a camera outside a gaol at Long Bay yesterday.

Detectives will allege the man was in breach of his bail conditions which were set in relation to a previous offence involving the alleged kidnapping of a 15-year-old boy from Merrylands and subsequent assault at Greystanes on 1 April.
