Man dies after being hit by car – Mascot
Thursday, 05 Nov 2009 05:28amPolice will prepare a report for the Coroner after a man died following being struck by a car in Mascot overnight.
About 10.30pm the man, aged 36, had parallel parked his Holden Commodore sedan on Botany Road, near the intersection of King Street.
The car was facing south.
The man then exited the vehicle and was standing by his car when a Holden Frontera travelling in the same direction crashed into the back of the parked vehicle before hitting the man.
The man was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital in a critical condition. He later died.
The Police Crash Investigation Unit attended the scene.
The female driver of the Holden Frontera will be interviewed by police.
Police will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
