Police investigate aggravated break and enter - Tweed Heads

Police are investigating following an aggravated break and enter and stabbing in Tweed Heads South yesterday.

Police have been told about 9.30pm (Thursday 20 April 2017), three men forced entry into a home on Russell Way armed with bats and cutting implements.

A 52-year-old man and a 51-year-old man at the location were assaulted.

Both men were beaten with the bats and the 51-year-old man was stabbed multiple times.

The three men left the location in an unknown direction.

Officers from Tweed/Byron Local Area Command attended the incident and established a crime scene.

Both injured men were taken to hospital. They are both currently in a stable condition.

Police are following a number of lines of inquiry, including whether the incorrect premises was targeted.
