Allocated & Actual Strength Figures
The Human Resource Services Command is responsible for providing monthly strength figures which depict both allocated police positions and actual police numbers. Information on this site includes police numbers at Local Area Commands and the Regions in which they are located. All data is drawn from the corporate SAP mainframe and is correct as at the last day of each month.
Police numbers change from month to month as the result of the recruitment of new police officers as well as resignations and retirements. The number of police on duty at a Local Area Command fluctuates daily due to court appearances, training commitments, special operations, leave and sick leave.
