I am trying to lodge a report and I have answered Yes to the question "Has anyone been injured?" Why have I received an error message stating that I can only report the incident to the Police Assistance Line or by attending the local Police station?

Creating a report online is for an incident that has already occurred (Lost Property, Intentional Damage or Graffiti and Theft).  If you or any other witness has been injured, it is critical that you receive assistance as soon as possible by calling the Police Assistance Line on 131 444 or attend your Local NSW Police Station.

Why have I received an error message when answering "Yes" to the question "Is this incident currently in progress, offenders still at the location, or still in the area"?

You will need a more responsive assistance if you have selected "Yes" to any of the following triage questions.  Call Triple Zero (000) and ask for Police, so we can be alerted.

  • If the incident is still in progress
  • If the offenders are still at the location or in the area
  • If anyone has been injured
  • Were there any verbal, physical or domestic violence confrontations with the offender or if person is detained
  • Was the damage a result of an actual or attempt to enter a premises?
