Firearms & Other Weapons

If you have been threatened with a firearm, spear-gun, cross bow or other weapon in your relationship, then you are at risk of future serious harm.

If your partner owns or has access to firearms and you are concerned that their behaviour is repeatedly abusive or threatening towards you or your family members or any other person, then your partner represents a real threat to your safety. In fact, in these circumstances your partner may not be considered a fit and proper person to continue to hold a firearms licence.

You can seek advice and assistance by speaking to your Local Police Station or call the Firearms Registry direct on the Customer Service Line on 1300 362 562
