$200,000 is being offered by the NSW Government to anyone who can help solve the murder of Dragan Sekuljica, who was fatally shot inside a busy Wollongong nightclub, on 7 September, 2007.
Acting Police Minister, Kristina Keneally, has announced the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the shooting murder of the 28 year old.
"This was a brazen attack which occurred at a taxi rank and then continued when the killer chased the victim into the ‘Splashes' nightclub," Ms Keneally said.
"It's quite clear to police that there are members of the community who have information which can help them solve this crime, but fear for their own safety if they come forward.
"Police believe this murder is linked with organised crime and it's hoped the $200,000 will break down that wall of silence and help catch those responsible.
"This is a lot of money and hopefully it will provide the incentive needed for someone to come forward with the information that can bring this killer and any accomplices to justice."
Ms Keneally said the NSW Government offered rewards to gather new information from the public to solve a crime.
"Often police believe that if money is offered for information in a case, it is likely to prompt a key witness to break their silence," Ms Keneally said.
"This crime shocked the Wollongong community and has obviously devastated Mr Sekuljica's family.
"The gunman responsible is a danger to the community and must be arrested and put before the courts.
"Police can assure anonymity and confidentiality for anyone with information about the case and I urge them to contact detectives through CrimeStoppers on 1 800 333 000.
"Someone out there can put an end to the suffering of the victim's family and also take a killer off the streets."
