FRAN McPHERSON - Executive Director, Corporate Services
Fran commenced employment in the public sector with the former Department of Transport 1974 and held various administrative and management positions until her first senior executive appointment as General Manager, Corporate Human Resources with the Roads and Traffic Authority in 1992.
Since then, Fran has held a number of senior executive positions in the RTA, Office of the Co-ordinator General of Rail and the SRA. These positions mainly focused on the delivery of human resources, change management and corporate services initiatives. While at the RTA Fran lead a structural review of Corporate Services Efficiencies to deliver savings resulting in additional funding for the total Roads Program.
Fran played a major role in developing and staffing the Olympic Roads and Transport Authority and negotiating industrial arrangements to ensure the smooth delivery of transport related activities for Olympic test events and the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. She also played a major role in establishing the Office of the Coordinator General of Rail.
Fran was appointed Executive Director Human Resources with State Rail in November 2000 where she oversaw the development of the strategic human resources plan and policies with effective linkages to the business plan.
Towards the end of 2001, Fran was also appointed Deputy Chief Executive of State Rail and held this role with the Executive Director HR role.
With the establishment of RailCorp in January 2004, Fran was appointed Group General Manager Customer Services. This operational role was responsible for stations, security, CountryLink, cleaning, passenger information and ticketing. In this role, Fran has planned and managed the strategic integration, coordination and seamless delivery of the public interface component of RailCorp services.
Fran commenced work with the NSW Police Force on 19 September, 2005 in the position of Executive Director Corporate Services.
