Charity Cricket Match

Central Metropolitan Region Local Area
Commands will come together for a fun cricket match to raise funds
for charities while commemorating 150 years of service of the NSW Police Force.

Memorial ceremony - Cowra

The memorial ceremony will honour Senior Sergeant Andrew Sutherland who was shot by two offenders at Daniel Doran's hut, Binnie Creek on the 1 May 1872. A plaque will be unveiled in memory of Senior Sergeant Sutherland in the front garden of Cowra Police station and a morning tea will be held at the RSL club afterwards.

March and parade from The Rocks down George Street Sydney, followed by a Civic Reception at Town Hall.

Sunday 11 March 2012 Officers from the Eastern Beaches Local Area Command will attend the Spot Festival in Randwick, with crime prevention information and a 150th Anniversary historic display.
Sunday 25 March 2012 Officers from the Eastern Beaches Local Area Command will attend the Rescue Base Open Day in La Perouse with crime prevention information and a 150th Anniversary historic display.

The expo at Darling Harbour will showcase Police capability displays from a number of Commands including the mounted police, Public Order and Riot Squad and the Marine Area Command. Opening hours will be 10am to 4pm.

Barwon Local Area Command 150th Anniversary celebrations

Barwon Local Area Command will celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Service with a large street parade at Narrabri on 21 April. A Police Expo will be hosted at the Narrabri Museum and old gaol over the two days and will include a range of entertainment. Coinciding with the two days of events will be a Barwon Local Area Command police reunion, with both present and retired officers invited to attend and be involved in the celebrations.

Anzac Day Parade

Commissioner Scipione will lead the police marching contingent, with the Police banner and armed escort, at the 2012 Anzac Day parade.

Western Region celebrations

A 150 Years of Policing celebration will be held in Western NSW, the weekend will feature police transport of past and present, an art show and a display of historical memorabilia.

State Crime Command 150th Anniversary cocktail party

State Crime Command will celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Service with a cocktail party at Government House at Parramatta. Part of the ticket sales will go towards a nominated police charity.

Exhibit at the Justice and Police Museum

A150 Years of Policing exhibit will be held at the Justice and Police Museum, Sydney.

Saturday 26 May 2012 More than sixty Blacktown, Mt Druitt and Quakers Hill police officers will march at the Blacktown Festival. The march will be followed by a presentation to the Mayor in recognition of the policing services in the area.

50 year reunion of Centenary Class 91A

50 year reunion  of  the Centenary Class 91A will be held from 6.30pm at the Kirribilli Club in Lavender Bay. The 28 May is significant  as it was the day these officers first attended their training at the Police Academy in Redfern in 1962.

Sutho Cops & Rodders Road Safety & Car Show

Location: Boys' Town Playing Fields, Woronora Rd, Engadine

Description: Sutherland Local Area Command is hosting its 2nd annual educational festival. The event aims to target reduce road trauma in young, inexperienced drivers by providing education in the promotion of safe driving and display exhibits. Among the many exhibits will be the V8 Supercar Orrcon Steel Racing Team's simulator & driver, Mark 'Frosty' Winterbottom and Shannons Insurance 'Super Rig'. The event is free with a gold coin donation encouraged.

Where: Australian National Maritime Museum, 2 Murray Street, Darling

Join us for an aquatically themed celebration of the NSW Police Force 150th
Anniversary. Visit the offshore patrol vessel Nemesis, learn about the
water police in a special display and enjoy demonstrations from the Marine
Area Command, as well as Police Rescue, PolAir, the Mounted Unit, and the
Dog Squad.

Charity ride for Bear Cottage
Where: Public Order and Riot Squad base, Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush and
ending at Goulburn

A team of 11 police officers will ride their bikes from Sydney to Goulburn
in a bid to raise money for Bear Cottage, a hospice that provides
palliative and end of life care to children. They will present the cheque
to Bear Cottage at a morning tea ceremony the next day at the Police
Academy. Join us in supporting them. Police and the public can donate to
